Saturday my friend Shortfuze and I took off to ride Marshall Canyon in Claremont. The trail was tacky and sticky from the recent rains and due to the shade the ground has not dried up. I have heard / read that there are several water crossings but according to Shortfuze there were more water than usual.
On the way down we going at a decent speed (my max was a little over 21MPH), going downhill the same tight singletrack we rode on the way up. I slowed down before hitting the water only to pick a better line thru. Going over the water requires speed otherwise get bogged in the mire.
Due to our lack of finesse both of us were splattered in mud; some were even on top of my helmet which can be seen in the video. Neither of us brought spare socks or dry shoes so during the ride back both of us had wet feet. I even drove barefoot on the way home.
