This has been waiting to be said for some time :

We have come a long way and have accomplished so much for a group that existed informally for nearly 25 years.  We were practically the first ones to play airsoft wargames outside Japan.   We wrote the basic rules of the game that nearly everyone follows or copies here and abroad.   We organized and ran the first airsoft tournament, scenario / mission based competitions, and introduced airsoft speedball.  We blazed the trail in playing airsoft at Camp John Hay, Naval Magazine and Grande Island in Subic, Corregidor, Taal Volcano, Montalban, and even in paintball's "sacred ground" - Alpadi.  We were the first airsoft group to participate in the AFAD gunshow, and the only one to have done so at least three times.  We set the benchmark for choosing good gamesites.  We've been featured on print and broadcast media countless times.  We played milsim even before the term was coined.  We were first in playing overnight bivouacs.    We've gone up against real soldiers, and we're still the only ones to either ride or take down armored vehicles during the games.

That informal organization is now gone..

..done in by the need to change with the times.


And.. at long last..

ACTION GAMES LEAGUE is now a sport organization registered with and recognized by the Securities and Exchange Commission (Company Reg. No. CN200906142).  

With its juridical personality established, AGL may now engage in bolder and more trailblazing projects.  It's a fitting cap to the informal years and a new beginning for the next 25, hopefully leading all the way to the 50 years the organization is supposed to exist.  It is now time for us to band together and move the group towards that end.  For those who believe in carrying long-standing AGL traditions  into the future, we will start accepting applications for formal membership just as soon as the guidelines are posted. In the meantime, enjoy and make the most of a fresh start with the recently resurrected website/forum (thanks to the efforts of our webmaster).
